"Win-Win" Solution in Bayview; SF City Commissions ...Apr. 10‚ 2008To the Editor: It appears that Randy Shaw's "Win-Win" solution really means Win-Win for Randy Shaw, not necessarily the African-Americans in the Bayview. Ask them what they want. It doesn't sound like they have the same vision. Again, we see liberal-minded whites telling blacks what is best for them. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Randy, you are no better than Gavin Newsom. Tony Belway To the Editor: The San Francisco City website lists either 45 or 46 Boards and Commissions, depending on how you count. Much closer to Carolyn Jones' number in the Chronicle, than Joe Lynn's in Beyond Chron. I think its a shame he stopped reading the Chronicle article, which was certainly less biased than the one by Becky O'Malley in the Berkeley Daily Planet. For the record, Ms. O'Malley and her husband are the editor and publisher of the Planet -- but they also own it, and have a tendency towards both opinion and news pieces that showcase their personal opinions and agenda.
