Muni Transit Overhaul; More Sarah Palin ...Oct. 24‚ 2008To the Editor: As you know, the Municipal Transit Authority approved the proposals (with some modifications) of the Transit Effectiveness Project. As a result of this project, the 3 Jackson bus line and the 26 Valencia will be discontinued. This is a disaster, because the physically helpless will have to walk long distances to catch a bus. The MTA has not addressed this problem. With the criteria of their partner, the Controller’s Office, they measured services in ridership and usage and not human need.
